Lehigh University's Department of Chemistry is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field and must have at least one year of postdoctoral experience by the date of employment. The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2027.

This open position is for a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of organic chemistry.

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Junpeng Wang will be joining our department as an Associate Professor of Chemistry in January 2026. Prof. Wang’s research addresses fundamental challenges in materials science by applying the principles of physical organic chemistry. His group develops innovative, sustainable polymers and force-responsive materials, with broad applications in areas such as energy and healthcare. We look forward to welcoming Prof. Wang and to the exciting contributions his research will bring to the Lehigh community.
