Dr. Jim Roberts was recognized for excellence in service and advising when the college hosted its annual faculty awards dinner on March 30. David Vicic, who nominated Jim for the award, notes: “Jim has gone above and beyond in the realm of service. He filled in when we were searching for our new Director of Instrumentation, he plays a lead role in safety in the department, and he singlehandedly directed the network re-cabling of the Mudd Building.”
Dr. Roberts, associate professor and vice chair of chemistry, also serves as sole Head Usher and has served as head liaison with the University’s technology services. At the college level, he serves as an advising mentor and is a member of Alpha Chi Sigma, the Lehigh Philharmonic Orchestra and as a Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout troop.
